The wild petunias (a few pictures down) are pretty abundant this year, and I don't even remember seeing them before - perhaps I wasn't looking when it's so hot this time of year.
I don't know what this plant is but it grows near culverts and road ruts and it makes a great dried flower arrangement. I've done 3 of 'em and I'd like to do more if I could get permission to cut some down from other properties, not much left on mine... They grow in several random directions, but look great when cut and arranged. The stems have these hard "flowers" that simply do not seem to drop off, even after several weeks in the house.
