Predominant: ChocolateDaisy, Rose Gentian, Butterflies,TallWhiteGrass, IndianBlanket, BlueMealySage, VariousYellowFlowers, CornSalad, CactusBlooms, MexicanHat

I took several pictures on 487 trying to see how many flowers I could get in one picture. I also wanted to be able to identify all the major flowers on the side of the road, so these pictures are a place to start.

The tall white flower is: Unknown, the blue flower is Mealy Blue Sage, The orange yellow-tipped flower is Firewheel or IndianBlanket,
The yellow flower with a dark brown center is ??? but is similar to several plants: Texas BlueWeed,

This field of flowers is near the quary behind the ranch. The purple flowers are Lemon BeeBalm or Purple Horsemint

There is a lot Fleabane Daisy but it is spread out. It gets a few feet tall, but the blooms are very small, yet last a long time.

This is Morning Glory to me, but also named Purple Bindweed, Sharp-pod Morning Glory, or Tie vine.

Last year there were 38 of these Standing Cypress on May 30 (15 days from now) but this is the first one this spring so far. The next few pictures were all found together right off the road. You would only notice the flower, but as I stepped out of my truck to take the picture, the rest came into view.

This is a cucumber cactus - until I get a better id. The closest I got was some kind of echinocereus. A day or two later I was riding bikes with Lynda and I tried to point it out from the road. I had to stop as now it has a bloom. I went back yet another time to see if it would open up again, but no luck. Nature happens quickly sometimes...

When I took the picture of the Standing Cypress, I saw this large bush with red berries. Wish I had some on my lot...
Here are some pictures of flowers Jean has planted from seed. No need for words... (sounds poetic, but I just don't know what they are !)
