Returning friend

It's been overcast and damp lately, but this guy brightened my spirits. It was pecking near a window on the back porch and when I came to the door it flew off into a tree. I also got a shot of it's back. It is very hard to see against a tree trunk, even with the red spot.

This might even be the same Red-shafted Flicker I saw several times in February - below is a lucky picture I took then when it was "sleeping" on the side of the chimmney
