This scorpion looked like some kind of bugs were eating it, but it's just scorpion babies getting a free ride.
This rabbit allowed me to take pictures as I kept getting closer and closer. He did not move and even continued to munch on weeds when I stopped about 7 feet away.
This wild petunia is bluer than the picture looks and seems to hold up well even though the heat is drying things up rapidly.
This flower is weeks old but also still unidentified - until today (7/14). I saw it in the wildflower quiz as a whitemouth dayflower. (I scored 9 out of 12). I think I got the focus just right on the petals...

This flower appeared profusely a few weeks ago, but I just now got it identified by Smarty Pants as Lady Bird's Centuary. It's kind of hard to photograph but this came out really nice.
