The drought of 2011 was the driest year ever for Texas, with an average of only 14.8 inches of rain. I ended with 20 medium trees dying from stress. Each year a few more die though I hope the trend is slowing down. I tried several methods of stump removal and ended up buying a stump grinder. Recently I bought a heavy duty chainsaw to help with the final cutting of the stump about 3" from the ground.
Having brand new equipment I want to recoup some of my investment and offer my services to the public.
Everyone's needs are different, but I will remove the stump below ground level and leave only sawdust in it's place. Removing the entire dead tree is also an option. For large lots I prefer to leave that much wood on the property, to be used for firewood and the rest put in the burn pile. For smaller residential lots, I can remove the entire tree if it is not too large. I don't really want to remove entire trees, but if you have just one or two and they need to disappear, I can do the whole job so you don't have to get two different contractors.
I work full time so this is a weekend thing.
I enjoy doing this and removing something that takes a lot of work for most people gives me satisfaction to help out. Depending on where you are and how easy it is to get to the stump, I charge $25 trip charge and $25 per stump, minimum. Oh yeah, that is very afforadable, so make an appointment soon, my weekend time is precious.
